Hi to all , when i start my Pc gets this message and after pressing F4 pc works properly. To test you will need to open the case up and check the cables once you know they are ok, close the case and start the PC to enter the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) depending upon the maker of your PC will dictate how you access your BIOS. I would also go to the HDD makers website and download any diagnostic utilities and run them on the drive.

Whenever I create a directory into it or copying any data, it throws input output error.
I thought to remove it from AIX because and tried to unmount it but it is not unmounting and command going to hung state.

This could be a few things, a damaged cable, a loose cable, an improperly set BIOS, a failing Hard drive or your hard drive doesn’t actually support the SMART technology. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) logy and disable it, then reboot the PC to see if you get the F4 issue.
